We got to visit our family and friends in st. george this past weekend for an allstar game d had an opportunity to be apart of. By the end of this month we will be back in st. george perminantly. were super excited to be back with close friends and great people especially our dixie rebel family!!

we had easter early this year since we couldnt make it to vegas for easter sunday we decided to go on thursday and stay till saturday. it was a wonderful break away from work and schedules! nette and janet made the kids baskets filled with candy and clothes. when we returned home grandma fields sent baskets full of clothes and toys. jae was in heaven lol here are a few pictures of our week back home my cousin jay has the vegas ones i will post soon!!

ever since i started attending church this year i feel like ive become a different person(maybe im just getting old). lol or maybe because i have two beautiful children whose eternal salvation is my responsibility(yes janet im all growns up). which brings me to my family. i look at the relationship i have with my kids and the relationship they have with each other theres so much love, understanding and forgiveness. my biggest fear is all that love will turn into hate and all the understanding and forgiveness will turn into contention and anger

i came across a quote from Pres. Ezra Taft Benson that opened my eyes and made me realize how much i love my family and the family i was born into...

"Remember, the family is one of God’s greatest fortresses against the evils of our day. Help keep your family strong and close and worthy of our Father in Heaven’s blessings. As you do, you will receive faith and strength which will bless your lives forever."

because of this ive decided this year i will be working on my family relationships(*hint *hint) i know were not all perfect and we all have things we need to work on. i know it wont be easy but with God all things are possible! if this isnt convincing Pres. Ezra Taft Benson also said....

wow 2009!! alot has happened so heres a little update...well we have a new pres. Mr. Barack Obama!! all the celebrations for that were amazing. just recently my Uncle Joe Tafua passed away on the 14. may he rest in peace. yesterday we went to our good friends kids bday party at jumping jacks. so much fun. oh and our anniversary is coming up in feb. on the 17th. cant wait for that. oh and best of all Marley's blessing is coming up and my whole family will be here!! im so excited cause we always have fun together!! here are some pics of our happenings lately.....

we spent the christmas break in las vegas with my parents. it was so much fun! my two nephews were able to celebrate the holidays with us due to their several delayed flights...YAY for us! lol my little sister fiti got me a whole set of unique ornaments which i really wanted for our tree. my parents bought jae and marley a bunch of clothes. janet and sally gave everyone stockings full of goodies and for the adults we got gigantic stockings full of oversized treats. oh and jane gave us a wonderful gift card that i will be using soon(like tomorrow). i wish my whole family couldve been there(all 13 bros & sis') it was so much fun to be all together just hanging out. the best of all is janet taught me how to crochet..WOO HOO for new talents! well that was after i took all of nettes crochet clutches hahaha i didnt take many pics cause i left my memory card at home but here are a couple.

WOW! This weekend was a busy one full of family fun. On Sat. we celebrated Tai's 9th birthday. It was at a park so the kiddos were busy every minute. It was so nice to get together again with my bros and sisters plus their kids. Then today was Jordyn's special day. Her blessing day! Troy did awesome blessing her. It was funny cause she was screaming when he stood up to bless her till he walked out with her. After we all headed to the clubhouse for food and family time. Segi makes the best potato salad. I LOVE IT! lol

Well she finally arrived!! I had her on Thursday Nov. 6, 2008. She weighed 8lbs 7oz. and was 19 inches long. We are so happy that we were blessed with a beautiful daughter. I'm so lucky and thankful that my mom and sisters were here to watch our monster Jae and we would like to thank T-roy and Rob for giving me a wonderful well needed blessing before I gave birth. THANK YOU for everyone's help.

Well just the other day a friend and I were talking about the upcoming election. She had strong views on the Obama/Biden health care plan because she felt like it was just a hand out to the unemployed. So here are just some points for those who don't get it. Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s plan strengthens employer–based coverage, makes insurance companies accountable and ensures patient choice of doctor and care without government interference. Under the plan, if you like your current health insurance, nothing changes, except your costs will go down by as much as $2,500 per year. If you don’t have health insurance, you will have a choice of new, affordable health insurance options. No where does it say people are recieving it for free. It says AFFORDABLE. It should be our right as working citizens to recieve affordable health care. With this plan we can finally take care of our veterans, troops, and senior citizens!

All children in the United States will be required to be covered under some health plan. There is no mandate for adults.
Small businesses offering health insurance to their employees will receive an additional tax credit to help offset the cost of premiums and as an incentive to provide benefits to their employees.
Reimbursement for catastrophic health care costs for employer offered health insurance to guarantee that employee illness or injury will not increase premiums
Increase the use of generic drugs by people using government subsidized plans and prohibiting large pharmaceutical companies from stopping generic drugs from entering the market
Allow Americans to purchase prescription medications from other developed countries as long as they are safe and purchase price is lower than if purchased in the U.S.
Work to make sure mental health benefits are paid for on the same terms as other illnesses are paid for through health insurance.

This year i decided to go to our neighborhood "Trunk or Treat" with Segi and her family. We had a lot of fun. Jae was a spider, Teni was the hulk, Alyia was a bumble bee, and Jordyn was a little chick. There was a chilli cook off and tons of cornbread. The chilli was so good!! We ran out of candy, which was a good thing cause i would have eaten the rest all by myself. lol

We always let Jae play with our camera (i know pretty smart). He usually takes pics of the ground, the walls, or even his diaper. Somehow he figured it out and started pointing the lens towards himself. I think he learned it from his Aunty Fiti. Today we went to the pumpkin patch with my sisters and their families. It was real exciting because Jaelyn is usually scared of animals but since his cousins arent he actually went near them. They had slides that fell into a pit of corn, Jae being scared of it didnt go down but he played in the corn. This weekend we went to Vegas cause Play House Disney was in town. My Dad took us to see it along with Carsen, Sina, and their kids. There was Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pooh and Tigger, Handy Mandy, and Jae's fav The Little Einsteins! It was so much fun. Jae danced the whole time. He had a BLAST!! Sept. 11

It was my freshman year in high school. My family just moved to Hurricane so it was also a new school for me. I did my usual morning routine before heading off to school. I was in my 1st hour, which was Mrs. Cranes Careers class, just sitting and thinking how small this town was. We started every morning with announcements then we would get to our computers and start working. It was different today because as soon as the bell rang we got in our seats and Mrs. Crane immediatley ran toward the t.v.. As soon as it turned on we saw the planes hit the towers. There really aren't words to describe the vibe in the room or the feelings of 24 freshman. We all experienced something surreal. Though there is nothing that can change the events we can choose to inspire ourselves to live life to its fullest!

For Mason's birthday we went to Las Vegas and celebrated it at my parents house. His theme was "CARS" the movie cause he is totally in LOVE with McQueen. It was a lot of fun! So lately we've been extremely busy and hadn't had the time to check or even update our blog. Our poor computer has had absolutely no love for the past couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure you can tell cause the last post was Jordyn's birth. lol After getting hints to do so we decided to take a couple of minutes and update. Diarra's work schedule changed so it threw us off a little in the week. Then awhile ago we found out were having a little girl. We can't wait! We really have just been trying to get things ready for our new addition cause its just around the corner. November 12th to be exact. We had lunch with a friend of ours Lauvale Sape and his wife Sarah. We had such a great time with them. In all the craziness in our lives we took a little break and went to the water park. It was a great way to just relax and have a little bit of family time. That's pretty much what's been going down! We left out a lot of info cause it's just negativity that's sooo not needed if you want to live a happy and healthy life! hahaha

Today we went to the water park in St. George with Sina, Ars, Cord, Segi and all the kids. Diarra's sister Ebony also came. She's here visiting from Seattle. It's her first time seeing Jaelyn. He spent most of the day with her. It was about 108 degrees and we were tryin to keep cool. After a while it didnt seem so hot anymore. It was a great way to get Jae out the house! He cried when we arrived but after 15 minutes and a mouth full of snacks he was ready to play. He didnt play long cause he was so tired. He did however have a lot of fun! We cant wait to go back!!

Today we went over to Segi's to play. Since the pool was so crowded we decided to get wet in the front yard. Teni was ready right when the hose was turned on but Jaelyn and Alyia were hesitant at first then warmed up to it. They didnt get completely into the water but it was enough for us. We had a blast! There will be many more of these days to come this summer!!

This weekend was bitter sweet. We headed out Saturday morning for the Cobra game. It was extremely and uncomfortably hot! Then we lost. So no championship for the Blitz. Then on Sunday my parents got us into the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus show. It was so much fun!! Jaelyn got crazy with excitement. He had so much fun. My parents spoiled him throughout the whole show. They bought him souvenirs, a bunch of food, toys and every sweet possible. We are so thankful that we had the opportunity to attend the show it was one of the most amazing things we've done as a family! THANKS MOM & DAD!

For Jaelyn's 1st we threw a PIRATE PARTY!! We had so much fun. We played games like pin the pirate flag on the ship, an adventurous treasure hunt, and the kid favorite bash the pinatas. We had costumes for all the kids just so they can get into the PIRATE theme. There were stick on tattoos, swords, guns, jewelry, treasure, hooks, masks, and pirate vests. It was a wonderful party full of fun!! We would like to THANK all of you who spent money on gas just to come and be apart of Jaelyn's big day!!

We spent this Mother's Day in Vegas. It was so much fun. Janet, Sally, and Nette bought me a dress. Diarra bought my favorite meal in the whole world!! Jessie drove us around and we had dinner at my parent house. MMM FOOD!
The desserts were so good there was plenty of food. Cord invited two of her friends from Kona and Fiti had two of her roommates over also. It was alot of fun. We actually had to leave early cause Jaelyn was acting up due to Sally and Frani treatin him like a baby. It was pretty bad. He knew if he cried (his fake one) that they would carry him which they did all weekend.lol He just loves those two! Overall the weekend was a great one and I cant wait to go back!

Here are a couple of pics from Diarra's game in Las Vegas at Liberty High School. The game started at 5 but we were there early to watch the rival team Island Warriors. Jessie as usual was friends with half of the team. We play them in two weeks. It's suppose to be one of the biggest games this season. The Blitz played Demolition and creamed them. The final score was 40-0 Blitz. Their next game is a home game against Wolverines same time same place!!!

Today we had to go food shopping cause we haven't had the time to do so. On the way home Jaelyn was crying cause he was so hungry. So we made a stop to Jack in the Box...Yeah we know its a Sunday but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.lol Anyway he cried all the way home till this moment when he got his fries. Wow! What a great way to begin the season! The Saint George Blitz were unstoppable winning 40-6. Diarra made two touchdowns. He started as quarterback. In the beginning they led by two touchdowns. Then the points just kept coming. The game definitely had to go to the Blitz offense. It was a fun game but we were so far ahead that there was no way the Panthers could have made a come back. If you want to know more about the game read the sports section on The Spectrum. Its funny cause in the article it says that were having a girl in November but we don't even know what were having lol...I hope Diarra didn't jinks us!!

This is Diarra at a scrimage for the Saint George Blitz. He is the quarterback and a dang good one! They hold their practices at Snow Canyon High School in Santa Clara three days a week. They have a game this Saturday. We are so excited and anxious.

This is us! Diarra, Jaelyn, and Maila. As you can see he looks like his dad. Facials and all. We were pretty bored one day and decided to wander the St. George valley. We found a trail and took this picture. Its over looking the back roads to Hurricane. I also have to add that it is just down the street from our home. haha So pretty much we didn't get anywhere! After that is was a trip to wally world and jack in the box then off home. I must say our original plan to be productive and spontaneous was far fetched! hahaha

Well this is the famous circus outfit that was handed down from Teni. lol Jaelyn fit in it for his first month. Diarra hated this outfit but I thought it was so cute. I think Troy also hated it too. I just love it!! hahaha

My actual due date was June 4th. He didn't want to make his mark till the 12th. I went in on the 11th and was induced for labor. It was a pretty quick delivery. I felt absolutely no pain. IT WAS GREAT!
